AIIEA-JNCH Programme Boosts Awareness on EMI and AEO Benefits posted by Niilesh waghela Mumbai, July 4: In a significant step towards strengthening India's trade facilitation ecosystem, the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) and Eligible Manufacturer Importer (EMI) Outreach Programme concluded successfully in Mumbai, bringing together senior Customs officials, industry leaders, importers, exporters, customs brokers and logistics professionals on a common platform. The programme was jointly organised by the Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (JNCH), Mumbai Customs Zone-II, and the All India Importers and Exporters Association (AIIEA) at Walchand Hirachand Hall, IMC Building. CAs Must Uphold Ethics :VP Posted by Niilesh waghela  New Delhi: Chartered accountants are the “custodians of trust in the financial system” and must safeguard ethics even as India pursues growth, Vice President Radhakrishnan said Sunday at the 78th Chartered Accountants’ Day event in New Delhi. He warned that “economic growth without ethics would not serve any purpose” and urged the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India not to dilute its qualifying exam standards, noting that high failure rates reflect the profession’s rigor. ICAI has over five lakh members and conducts the CA examinations. Radhakrishnan called on CAs to ensure fair competition by protecting honest enterprises and acting firmly against unethical practices.  “The ease of doing business must always operate within the framework of law, and chartered accountants have a vital responsibility in ensuring that balance.
